Hey there
I have just purchased the start8 licence and see I have been charged for 2 amounts, the $4.99 as indicated on the website and then another amount of $2, does anyone know what the additional charge is for which is not reflected on the invoice or on the website.

It's nothing to worry about, I had the same question when I registered. (I think there should be a notice about it to save unnecessary questions). This is the response I got:
The $2 is an authorization (which is a temporary hold, not a charge). We do this check to verify that the information that you entered is the same as what is on the card (fraud check). This amount is dropped and not charged. The time it takes for it to drop off your card depends on your bank's policies.
Please let me know if you have any further questions/concerns.
I have already requested the site indicate the short term hold as it can cause confusion.
Hopefully this will be added shortly. This week is rather busy with the Stardock 20th birthday and Windows 8.1 RTM being out so I suspect it will not show up this week.
