"Show Desktop" - I want a real icon not that hidden box in the corner
I want an actual "SHOW DESKTOP" icon on my Quicklaunch. I found the shortcut, buried in:
C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch\
Which after an exhaustive internet search and doing what the articles suggested, I cannot get it to pin to the task bar.
All the articles I found, though, all referred to the standard OEM WIN8 environment, not the START 8 environment.
I just can't stand that little white, hidden, unlabeled box in the lower RH corner of the task bar.
Does anyone know of a workaround? Or is this the trade-off for the START8 program?
And, just so I'm not viewed as a complainer, this START8 program is literally the greatest thing since sliced bread. Especially so for a user that had several PC's and had STUBBORNLY AND ABSOLUTELY REFUSED to upgrade to Windows 7 (and never did upgrade to it!). Honestly, I never even looked at WIN7 until about two months ago (I saw Office 2010, and was HORRIFIED!). Well, with the purchase of a new machine, I was forced to go with WIN8. It's a cheap Dell Laptop, but it is a great machine to learn WIN8 on. And... It has a touchscreen! All for under $400 bucks. You can't beat it!
And, I'm almost ashamed to admit this; I find myself actually liking WIN8 between fits of occasional rage...
