Problem when running programs through launchers

When a program is launched indirectly via a launcher (such as world of warcraft). Start8 doesn't recognise that the program is running and does not show it in the taskbar.

If the program is run directly from the .exe file the launcher points too, it works.

I presume this happens because Start8 checks if you have run a program directly before placing in the task bar.

Anyway to officially report this for a fix?

Start8 only provides a start menu and other than the option to make the taskbar solid and adding the start button, it does nothing with the taskbar itself.  The taskbar is the original Microsoft taskbar and if things are not showing in that then it will be a Microsoft issue not a Start8 one.

In general the taskbar should show all running windows as long as they have correct window styles (I.e. captioned top level windows)

The strange thing is, I remember it working in a previous release of Start8.

Just to re-iterate.

Launch wow-64.exe = running icon on task bar

Launch World of Warcraft Launcher.exe = Launcher icon appears

Click play on launcher = wow-64.exe running = No icon running in task bar.

The game runs exactly the same in both methods, so I don't see what the type of the window has to do with it. Its clearly related to the fact the program isn't launched directly.

If you disable the Start8 service and reboot you should find the same thing happens.

The taskbar in Windows 8 is written by Microsoft and Start8 should be having no impact on what windows / applications show in it.
