Start8 1.20 upgrade shuts down my laptop

Just upgraded to Start8 1.20 latest release.

Upon reboot after upgrade it shut down right away, like I pulled the plug, ouch.

Rebooted, ran for 10 minutes and did it again.  Laptop has been running perfect until this.

Want to go back to previous release, but don't see any other software download except this latest.

Anyone having any issues like this?

Can someone point me to the previous software download?

Is the machine shutting down nicely, or is it turning off instantly like the power is cut?

If the later, could it be overheating somehow?

There should be no changes in Start8 to cause anything like that, but did you install anything else recently that could either be interacting with it, or directly causing it?

Thanks for the response.

Overheating is not an issue and I have not installed anything except the 1.20 upgrade.

I think it's something to do with the install process when it rebooted to complete the upgrade.

I've opened a trouble ticket with support, so I'll see how that goes.

For now I'm not running Start8, which makes Win 8 usable as far as I'm concerned. 

Metro is a complete waste on a laptop.  I never ever go there.

I also have major problems and i think it is because of 1.20 update.

The computer sometimes wouldn't start true to windows (black screen), switching to an other account also didn't work properly (sometimes clicking the button did nothing and other times it would go to a black screen.

I now used a back up from last week without 1.20 update and it looks like the problems are gone
