How to Verify Activation?

I initially installed Start8 on a trial basis.  A few days later I purchased the product....I received the confirmation emails along with the serial number/product key and I also registered to create an account.  For some reason, I'm not sure I activated the software correctly. When I right-click the start button to configure Start8 I'm unable to bring-up the 'Welcome' screen where you'd input the product serial number. On the "About" screen there's no mention that the software is a paid/activated version.  Since I can't seem to pull-up the Welcome ('activation') screen should I assume the software has been activated properly or is there another method to confirm activation? I appreciate your help and expertise....thanks!

If you press the Windows key and the r key at the same time to bring up the run dialog and paste the following into the run dialog and then press enter: %programdata%\Stardock\Registrations you will see a directory.  If you have a bin file without the word "trial" in it you are activated.

(If you have trial files additionally, that's fine.)

Thanks for the direction.  I'm on a different machine at the moment but I'll try what you suggest tomorrow.  I very much appreciate your time and expertise....thanks!

 

PS I checked the Directory you suggested and found three (3) bin files.....one did not include the word "trial" so I assume Start 8 is registered and activated properly. I suppose if after a 30 day free trial period an activation (purchase) prompt appears I can always input my product serial number at that time.  Thanks again for your help.  I think I'm good to go.
