Actor James Gandolfini Dead at 51

James Gandolfini has died, according to CNN, reporting on a statement by Mara Mikialian, HBO's vice president for program publicity.

Apparently, the actor was on vacation in Rome when he suffered a massive heart attack and died.


Gandolfini was best known for his role as Tony Soprano in HBO's "The Sopranos", but he acted opposite Robert Redford, and many others in important film roles. 


He was only 51 years old. 

I will miss his work a good deal. He was a fine actor.

This is true..

 

I chose to download all 6 seasons of the Sopranos couple of weeks ago... been addicted to it since.

 

As the news of his death broke on Foxnews today... I was watching the END.. of the FINAL episode.

A friend loaned us all the seasons ....[we'd never seen it when it was on]....and watched them all in quick succession .... about this time last year.

Brilliant series....brilliant actor.

He'll be missed.

I watch the The Sopranos at least once a year (I have the boxed set). He was a great actor and will be missed.
