Can't load saved game after today's update.

Hello there,

Haven't really posted here before. I own Sins of a Solar Empire: Rebellion on Steam. I was playing a match for the past couple of days. I came home and sins had a small update. I got back into the game after the small update and found I had to change my graphic settings again. Also my save games, while still there will not load. As it says that they are from a older version.

I was just playing this morning, is there no way to continue playing my old game?

Probably not. As warned in the change log (and the change log of the beta released a month ago), the 1.5 patch is big enough to break saved games. Steam unfortunately has no easy way to revert to old versions.

While this is true, there is some hope moving forward. You can choose to install future patches to your games manually when they come out, just as an FYI. This is an option in Steam itself which can help prevent some of the 'save-game' headaches.
