Problem after activation

I have bought this today & since activaton I am just getting a black screen with the Start8  Start button.

I am no longer able to see my desktop.

Any idea why this is please?

Reboot in safe mode and uninstall Start8 if you need to. We'lle look at you case as soon as we can.

I've half sorted this.

However the Start button now only brings up Start8 configuration instead of doing what it should be doing.

Any ideas please?
