Pinned Folder Shortcut to Start8 Start Menu

I created a folder shortcut on the desktop then pinned it to the Start8 Start Menu, but it is displayed as a Menu item rather than a link.  When I click on the menu arrow it displays some of the many items in this folder but not in the order I most often use them and it doesn't seem possible to change the sort.  Is there a way to display this pinned folder shortcut as a link rather than a menu item?  Thanks

Start8 will create a jump list from the contents of any folders that shortcuts are pinned on the menu.

Clicking on any part of it in the menu other than the arrow bit will work as a link in the same way every other app with a jump list works.  The order of the items shown in the jump list will typically be A-Z, though it is based on the order the OS returns them to Start8.

So ignore the arrow and it should work as you wanted.
