Is there a way to tell modern mix to not interact with an app? For some reason it think chrome needs to be managed on my machine and its causing a weird window.

no problem, I just need to reinstall Modernmix as I had removed it.
There is another fix for this issue. Visit the Chrome web site: https://www.google.com/intl/en/chrome/browser/ . Chrome will then realize that something is wrong and give you an error saying that chrome update cannot run in this mode and bar will appear at the top of Chrome with the option to restart Chrome in desktop mode. Do this and Chrome will be back to normal (permanently I think).
