Photoshop 7 Q's

I just got Photoshop and After Effects, now how do I use em'? I really want to make some of those cool blue glass effects, but don't know quite how. Any help at all would help.

I use PS6, but it should work for any version of PS from 4 onwards.

There's also a nice tutorial for plasticy style glass effects (Similar to the aqua stuff), over at Eyeball Design:

C²zero: if you are gonna pay 600 dollars for an app, you have to assume there will be some time to spend learning how to use it. It is about as complex as a 2d graphics app is gonna get. It has a great help file, and a quick google brings up insane numbers of tutorials.

Learning by doing is great, but you can't do anything until you know how the app works. Once you know the tools, you'll know how to put together the effects you want. Most anyone here could tell you how to do it, but it would not better you at all.
