Make empty fences invisible?
Is there a setting so that empty fences can be invisible, but automatically become visible when something is added to them?

The SubTitle pretty much says it all.
I made a fence for temporary files - that is, documents with assignment descriptions for today's class in school etc. which I would like quick access to for a few days (which is why I store them on the desktop). Often, that fence will be empty, and thus does not need to be visible. On the other hand, when a file is in it, I would like it to be constantly visible.
I set Fences to always place documents in that fence, so I won't have to do it manually - but this is less effective, if I still have to go there and change the opacity manually.
Does anyone know if it is possible to set a fence to be visible/invisble only under certain conditions?
(if not, I hope it will be some day)
