Why dosen't this site have edit buttons?

The only reason I can think of is that the op's are out to make people look stupid by not letting them edit/delete their posts.

I just made 3 spelling mistakes in those 4 lines up there. It's a good thing I saw them, or else this message would make NO sense (which just proves my point).

It dosen't help that it's 1:30am, but still...

Well, it also would give people the possibility to edit their posts in a way, that following answers wouldn't make sense anymore.

I think, that's the main reason.
