can any one help me with advice on how to change my start up screen from windows 98 to windows xp !!!!

Upgrade to XP.... Sorry had to say that!

98SE only has a static image for a boot screen. There is no way I know of to reproduce the two boot screens and welcome screen XP uses on a 98SE machine.

i have xp home edition but i dont have serial i cloned it off my mate but it doesnt work without seral plz help.. i ned serial.. ps i use 98 for games xp is shite for games

We don't "do" serials here, very bad manners.... I would suggest that you not ask again on this site.

XP works pretty good for me on games. I had problems with older games, but all the newer ones work fine. One that really upsets me by not wanting to work right is Max Payne...
