here here. nothing wrong with doing that every once and a while. Normally after I reinstall everythign I leave it that way for a couple of weeks.

What you are doing is the right thing to do. You get fed up, and you walk off. Later, you'll come back, i bet. Others linger on and on griping. Just never slam the doors behind you like I have, so many times. You've got my respect.

I have to admit... after my computer crashing and re-imaging the hard drive so it would work again (an loosing all my beautiful stuff) this plain boring look has some appeal to it after my customizing it to death.

I think I will make a winstyle that has nothing in it and it brinks you desktop to borring every once and a while. (like one or two weeks out of a year)

Getting fed up with XP crashing and having to restore from backup everytime I play certain games, I'm switching to two hard drives. One with XP for e-mail, internet, office, graphics, cutomization etc, and the other with just ME and games - nothing else, on the basis if you put nothing on, it cant go wrong!

heh - when I reinstall everything I can't stand the default colors and lack of controls... I'll stay up till sunrise if I have to just to get Component Manager installed so I don't have to see that bland windows interface...

All done!

I now have XP on one disk running fine, and ME on another running fine - not loaded all my games on yet but UT is certainly flying. Just run 3dMark2001 and scored over 9000, that's with an Athlon 1.4 and GeF4 Ti4200. Not bad...
