hey guys..great lookin board.
Ok im curious as to what program it is that puts your machine details such as h.d space...callender and such things on your desktop as ive seen in some of the pics here...also does windows blinds use more resources than other gui changers and does desktop x do the same...thankx

DesktopX are a enhancement for the GUI, not a change. There's some objects for desktopx (you can download them on this site) that can do these tasks (for the calendar i don't konw). DesktopX puts any object in memory, for instant access to it. These objects are graphics. So, if you use lots of objects, you are spending lots of computer resources.
