There is the best little free program called webshots. I think you have to sign up, but it's free and you don't get junk mail. They have thousands of walls for you to download, and you can import your own also. Webshots it IMHO the *best* place to share your own photos.

With the free membership you can only download 5 photos per day (but by the sounds of it, I get the impression it's walls you allready have you wan't to use anyway), but I don't recall any spyware, adware or anything of that sort. You can also use webshots as a screensaver and it has a ton of other cool wee features like being able to display your pics in B/W and adding a calander.

Check it out, you might even consider upgrading your mebership once youve gotten into it! (i dunno how much it is, its a sub tho)

Webshots is the best I've ever seen. Totally free and hold almost 1000 walls. I love it. Webshots.com

What does a wallpaper swapper do? (other than the obvious) Why would it be necessary?

There are also several wallpaper managers that are skinnable (and free).

1. Trigger at http//www.highertendencies.com

2. Verve at http://www.545studios.com

3. Quick Changer at http://www.enclave-i.com/quickchanger/

Quick Changer is one of the best, but it looks like the authors website is down at the moment.

You're all wrong.

The only free wallpaper changer I've found that automatically monitors recursive directories (absolutely no manual adding of wallpapers!) is the modestly named Wallpaper Changer. Of course, it does a LOT more than that, but that is the main reason I use it.

You'll be very happy with Wallpaper Changer, particularly if you like ease of use. When I was looking for a good changer, I would have been willing to pay, but I couldn't even find a commercial program that could do what Wallpaper Changer does. The closest I found was some programs that allow you to load an entire directory, but they don't monitor any changes to that directory. Wallpaper Changer does, and does so recursively.

It's logical if you *want* to change your wallpaper manually and not very often. If you have a lot of wallpapers and like to change them frequently, it's not very practical. I have hundreds of wallpapers; I would hate to have to go to Display Properties every time I wanted to change to something else.
