After WB uninstall Firefox shows aero glass background when maximizing

Hello. I installed WB trial and then uninstalled, no errors.

But since then when I maximize a Firefox window, a blue diagonal line pattern appears for a second before loading new blank tab:

This is the aero glass background, that is shown for a second before loading a tab. I'm pretty sure it is related to WB as it started just after uninstallation. Since WB is uninstalled "correctly" the only thing I can do is try to reinstall FF, create a new profile, edit background colours and mess around with FF themes, to no avail.

I'm desperated to find a solution for this UU'

System is Windows 7 64 bit with aero enabled, and firefox 18.0.2 and 19.0 tried.

Any help wpuld be appreciated, thanks in advance

Are you using firefox with the small orange box in the upper left with dropdown options? If so, try hovering over that box, move down to options, do not click it, a pop up window appears, click on enable menu bar, if it is not checked, see if it helps. Also I have heard 19 was worse than 18 which sucked. I went back to 17 and it works much better. Just suggestions, good luck.

Thanks for reply doortech. No, I dont use the orange box, as long as I use more "traditional" interface (menu bar always shown, tabs on the lower part, etc).

Menu bar was already selected.

Have tried some FF versiones but it happens with all of them.

A thread that speaks about the same problem afetr uninstalling babylon toolbar:

Okay folks I supposed this was WB related, but for the time I uninstalled it, FF updated from 17 to 18, and the bug started to appear.

I have read at bugzilla that other ppl are experiencing this, so WB is not the culprit, thankfully

Thanks
