Another RIP! Or is it?

I just saw a new objectbar(that was uploaded today) called Simplebars, and they admit right in the description, that they stole the graphics for the theme. I know for DesktopX you don't need permission to upload other peoples stuff. Or so I was told. I still don't like that you can package other peoples objects and upload it. But thats off the subject. In the simplebars theme, I didn't find any permission text. (That's like, for example, I take universe metal, and take a little of the graphics, upload it and put in the description that I use some of it and everythings fine, Right? What are the guide lines on objectbar?) On a more constructive note. I think we should have a message on the front page saying NO MORE. When uploading, does anybody really read the disclaimer on what should or should not be uploaded? Just curious!!!

I am under the impression that desktop X is different because you are simply uploading a custom 'arrangment' of components, not necessarily new components. I'm not sure I like, it, but I can see the logic. I am not aware of anything else, though, that would allow you to use other people's graphics without permission, with credit or without.

Thank you, bakerstreet, but the point kind of got lost. My message was a polite way of saying there is another rip out there. i know there's some new windowblinds out that are total rips, but the owners are just saying, let it be. I think this is wrong. (If you see a kid playing with matches, you correct them.) I don't care if thier new to skinning. Wrong is wrong. They might not even know they're doing wrong. I don't know. Just my 2 cents!!!

Don't get me wrong Z71, I just didn't want to start a thread like "are you sure? The graphics don't look the same to me, it is just a coincidence .... etc etc"
I believe it is wrong too and I don't like it, but I just didn't want to discourage them, hopping that finaly, they will find their own style...
