Corel Draw 11 is it worth it?

I've been a Corel Draw user since 2.0. And it's always been a fairly buggy program.

I purchased Corel Draw 10 and was very unhappy with it. I found it quite buggy (they didn't fix the Ctrl-Insert bug that causes Photopaint selections to go into ADD mode until manually put back with the mouse) and it has increasingly obnoxious copy protection -- I bought the upgrade to 9 and I have to install 9 and then install 10 to use it which is extremely annoying and time consuming.

What I want to know is if there is anything worthwhile in Corel Draw 11 that I should consider purchasing it?

I have been beta testing it for the last few months, everything I have done for since about March has been done in Corel 11. There are alot of nice things about it and I would rcomend it to anyone who uses corel alot, me I use it abot 10 hours a day.
However there is one BIG bug in the Gold coad, or at least last time I checked, You CANT export transparent PNG files (Which is how I do All of my Icons and DX Objects). This is a bug and is being fixed in SP1, but I have to say to any one using it for skinning Wait until SP1 is out then buy it. I have the Gold coad, but am still working in Beta 4, whitch works great. Overall I find it to be very stable and I have had very few problems with it.
For the most part unless you are a corel Power User don'nt rush out and get it. 10 Works fine, and has 95% of the features. Wait untill it goes on sale.
I hope no-one at corel gets mad at me for this, they should know that I am one of thier bigist perponants.

I have used CorelDraw since version six. All, except for nine, have worked incredibly well for me. I also use it at work along with all the assorted Adobe products. I still think it's easier, on a day to day basis, than Adobe. I must confess though, that being Canadian and living so close to Ottawa (Corel's headquarters), I may be a little biased.

I agree it is easier, but not very maney adobe users will admit to it.

From the poll I took the easiest to learn is PSP, them Coreldraw and then Adobe. But if you know PSP, Adobe is easy.

Their upgrade (corel's) sucks though. They make you have the previous version installed.

So for instance:

I would have to install Corel Draw 9 then install Corel Draw 10 and then install Corel Draw 11 potentially. I want to be able to simply buy an upgrade priced version that is a full version.

With version 11 all you have to do is put in the corel 10 disk and let it validate. It works fine, also 11 comes with Mac & PC version on one disk.

for Mac&PC?? mmmmm Corel has released a Lite version of Coreldraw Photopaint 8, free for the Mac Users, but has no success on Mac community.
The past year i purchased the 10 upgrade version for Windows. I have also the Select (7) version, so i have no problem to upgrade (insert the previous version disc, one minute and go).
Corel Draw is not a bad program. In my opinion have:
The pros: Good effects in vectors, low price, tree programs in one (vector, bitmap and web animation including Flash contents!) plus addons (bitmap to vectors conversion, enhanced textures creation, Fonts management!, bar-codes generation!).
The negative part: Is too many different in their usage, comparated with others design programs. Why can't have a interactive 'Hand Tool'? the Macromedia's and Adobe's programs have it! Isn't intuitive: if you are habituated to Freehand, you will learn fastly to use Illustrator and reciprocal; if you are habituated to use Painter, you can easy learn to use Photoshop; where are the tools on Corel Draw?. The color management on Corel (10) are very hideous. It spends more computer resources than Photoshop or Freehand (on Windows). It's slowly. It crashes when are using lots of objects or layers. In two months of use, i needed to reinstall-it 3 times (it was corrupted > ).
But, when the 11 version are available, i will check it. Not purchase, but i can check
