From what I can see, one of three things apply.

1. Either there are a lot of older versions of Adobe being used or

2. There are a lot of pirated versions or

3 The people that frequent this site have some bucks.

At 6 times what PSP costs there seems to be a lot of adobe users.

Anyone who is dose design for a living prettymuch needs to have Photoshop, I paid for it, ouch, The Ironic thing is I dont use it much for skins, I use CorelDRAW 11, as I metioned in my other thred.

Coreldraw doesn't give discounts to people who have the previous versions. What a shame. But it is cheaper than Adobe.

Sure it dose, upgrade is $249 full version is around $500, I have bought every version since 2.1 exsept 11 which I was on the beta team for so I am getting it for Feee

Mormegil: What I meant was that you can get the upgrades cheaper fron other vendors than from coreldraw. We have all versions from 3 to 10.

Got ya Doomgaze. As its been many years since I qualified for that discount I forgot what EDU was.

We also have PSP7 And Adobe 7, but no prior versions.

i dunno how the adobe shops work, but when i saw macromedia come out with the mx studio suite, i went to half.com and picked up flash 4 and dreamweaver 3 for around 40 bucks without the resgistration used yet so that i could get the mx studio for under 400 bucks. otherwise i would have been out well over a grand or so. maybe they did something similar with photoshop. i have been thinking of trying to find an old unregistered version on the cheap so i can get the upgrade price on 7. so far even the older versions seem to be a bit pricey, though...

WiseOldMan, as I've mentionned in previous posts, people here are quite wealthy. Remember the family revenue poll? And the computer speed poll?
Most people make between 60,000$ and 120,000$, while a great deal of others make more than 120,000$. The computer speed poll showed that most people have a 1.5 to 2 Ghz computer, while the great majority have something above 1Ghz.

Not that I don't suspect option #2 to not play some part in it either though.
