Litestep Module Question

Anybody out there figure out how to use shortcut3 yet or know of a theme that uses it (successfully)? The documentation is, to put it kindly, vague.

No...not yet....I'm still trying to work out where I have a leak....getting up to 45% CPU usage with LiteSTEP...instead of 1 or 2....killing the process and restarting works....just seems a bit dodgey if you recycle 'lots'...

I'd like to see it too.

Actually, I was waiting for you jcg

Jafo,
I've read some stuff on the LSML that Systray has some problems if you use certain icon hiding options. I don't remember exactly cause I don't use them. You might want to check it out.

I don't go in for hiding icons in the tray....[not when it's been a wait just to get to see them properly in XP]...but I do toggle the tray and the tasks [and lscommand] with ckhotspots......it's possible I have an overlap with the hotspots causing an 'issue'...but all's well at the moment....I'm in the same theme now, with Litestep on 16,828k and CPU around 10......not as good as others, but I'll check through the third parties and see if I've inadvertently included a 'bad' one....

Ha....switched to a [modified] 'Cutter Cogs'....17,824k and about 3% CPU....same instance of LiteSTEP....

Now, my 'Lite' version....13,044k and 2%...[total CPU use between 20 and 40....winamp, etc...]...

Well, the mob has now turned on label.dll, mostly 'cause there's supposed to a fix (ver. 1.96) that hasn't been released yet. The hunt continues

I've found Label to be tricky for me for quite a while now.
I have a very underpowered system and when themeing I recycle continually. With more than a couple of labels loaded, I can count on a crash every couple of recycles or so; unless I unload Label.dll first.
Hopefully things with Label will smooth out. As you said John...the hunt is on

So....label's the culprit, eh?
I'll look into that....could be my problem as I get the odd crash from time to time on recycle...

I installed the new label 1.96, some definite improvements.

So far so good. I haven't stress tested it yet but it has at least one nice feature, no default label required, you don't have to create a label list, all labels can be created on the fly. I used to have to create a fake label and then hide it. They also fixed the hidden label in a box problem, I'll be testing that tonight. That answers that question Phar0e, no more mzscript workaround.

Well...I changed my script to 'kill' label , rather than just hide it....I'll see how that goes for a while...

The new hidden labels in a box works like a champ, mostly. It still messes up on system monitor labels that are hidden, but its a big improvement.
