Desktop clock without installing gadgets

It would be great if Start8 had an on-screen desktop clock not hidden in the taskbar.  The clock used on the login or lock screens could be used, but it would be better if the desktop clock were:

•  Re-sizeable

•  Re-positionable

•  Not require other 3rd party or old Windows 7 gadgets to be installed. The problem with 8Gadgets is that the sidebar permanently takes up screen real estate so the usable screen is narrower.

•  Not installed as a "screensaver."

•  Enableable / disableable.

This approach keeps the screen clean and avoids the issue of which programs are "on top."

This really isn't something that fits into the concept of Start8 as I imagine the number of customers wanting it would be very small.

If you want a Desktop clock there are many standalone gadgets which can provide that kind of functionality, the DesktopX section on www.wincustomize.com probably has many examples.
