problems in IE 6--PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

i have a problem with IE 6. for example when a page is loading and u click a link which takes u to another site (the link opens in a new window) then...nothing happens! after i wait for the entire page to load and then click the link agian, even then its not working!

but when i dont click a link at all and wait for the entire page to load, then it works. any suggestions to this problem?

When the new page opens is it empty, just white?

Sometimes people aren't round all the time, so answers come a little slow.

I have been having troubles with IE today too... it may be a little wonky for some reason.

When the page opens, instead of clicking on the link, try clicking on refresh again. What OS are you using? Have you kept up with all the updates? Is it just today and just this site?

Try dumping your offline history and if all else fails defragment if you need to. Mostly, if this is just a recent problem, I would reboot first, then do all that (after a cold drink and a walk).

errr those are only things I do that help sometimes. You can change if it opens in a new window or not in the internet options.

i am running Windows XP Build 2600 with IE 6. this problem has been lasting for months. the problem is with ALL sites! not just this one.
i tried re-installing IE 6 but the setup says that a newer version has been detected on my computer!
