bought start 8 and when i went to activate it it would not activate and now says reached max activations still not activated contacted tech support via email but no answer after two days so in my opinion tech support sucks

It really doesn't... and some really nice folks work there who'll bend over backwards to help you. You might realize that it's right after their holiday, and there's probably a backlog of folks seeking help...
Also, if you write again, before getting an answer from an actual Support person, your original request gets kicked to the end of the queue.
That said, with any luck one or more of them will be stopping by over the weekend to check this Forum, so you might want to edit your post... you know, flies, honey and vinegar. ![]()
Take a look see if you've received an "auto-reply" (it might have been shunted to your junk/spam folder), and include your ticket number in your post.
Just a question....do you have it installed on any other computer?
no only installed on one computer and it will not let me reg it
If you have had several goes at installing...and reached its limit you'll need to wait for Support to reset your activation counter.
It does happen sometimes, but is a simple fix.
Please give them a little time to respond as it's something done by humans, not by computer/robot.
I cannot assist directly as I am on the opposite side of the planet [almost] ...;)

did what the email said and still no go when i try to activate it it says can not write the activation code please help
