something went wrong when using windowsblinds a bar on the left side of my desktop appeared and ihave no clue hhow to remove it ... IT REALLY BOTHERS ME i cant move icons and apply different skins and such.. That blue pane (shell Style) isn't even something that WindowBlinds changes (we are working on it, though) so it's pretty doubtful that WB did it.

Anything that WB and DesktopX does should go away when they are unloaded.

I asked around the office, and all that was suggested (as no one was able to reproduce it) is that you have corrupted something with active desktop.

Are you showing Desktop icons (as, is it checked)?
Do you have "Lock Web items on desktop" checked? (If so, uncheck it)
What do you have set in> display properties> desktop> customize desktop> Web ?

You may need to create yourself a new user account...

hmmm the new account thing worked!!!! the bar is removed... but none of my programs are registered under that account anyway to move it all there ??? >

Here's a crazy idea. You could try copying your desktop folder from your new account into your old account and then log back into it and see if it changed any settings. Just a thought.

IT WORKED!!!!!!!!! GREAT IDEA MAN!!! i made a new accoutn and copied all my documents and desktop icons and such now im back to normal http://www.geocities.com/njdevilsdrafts2/normaldesk.jpg THANX EVERYONE!!!
