Another great soundmaker has been silenced. Lee Dorman, bassist for proto-metal rockers Iron Butterfly, died today at his home in Orange County, Calif.. He was 70.

Sad, that! One of my fave bands of all time... and Dorman's bass was a heavy feature of Innagaddadavida that turned it on its head and blew the cobwebs from my mind. fanfreakin'tastic.
