a RESPECT for non english parlants

I received diverse confusions about my comments on this website.
I not speak english, and i never tried to make skins before the past year. I'm attempting to make skins and speak english on the way, using all of my free time. I prefer to make skins not to post confusing messages and spending my time for nothing. Sorry if i confused some people.
I will no post more comments until my english are perfectcly shakespearian.
God bye

my point exactly.

i read that thing three times and it STILL makes no sense.

i had a friend at my old school who was an exchange student from Costa Rica, who spoke about 5 languages, and apparently english was his worst language, but he seemed to hide it very well. i just changed schools but we've still been emailing eachother at least once a week, and he's getting better (from what i can tell anyway).

The point is, don't give up trying. you can only get better from practicing

I spoke German(low) when I lived there for six years...elementary school years...it was a mandatory class. I still retaina bit, but haven't used it in fifteen years or so. I picked up a little Japanese in Okinawa, a little Tagalog from a friend (foreign exchange student) in high school, some French from some deployments with the Legion on the East Coast(USA), and used to know a little Russian from one of my 2nd Generation Marines. So I speak a handful of words in a handful of languages, enough to get the restroom, water, beer, and a fist fight

try getting me to write any of it...HAH!

I envy you, Carlitus. Knowledge is power that no man can take away from another.

I am Dutch and speak and write reasonable English. Even Jafo understands me most of the time

I have learned the language at school. Also the Dutch society has been influenced a lot by English/American music, movies, TV and science.

When I started to learn the language the only way to do so was to try. I also encountered an English student when I was 10 and he helped me with the language. He answered all the letters I ever wrote to him. When I come to think of it that must have been exceptional. He was in his twenties and was probably more interested in girls and his study.

These days internet makes this a lot easier. Chances are that you meet here more guys like the friend I just mentioned. (Nerds and geeks are known for having more time on their hands because girls are not an issue. ) True, you will also find some stupid people that are lauging at your attempt. But look at this from this point of view: You are trying to speak their language and they probably cannot speak yours.

So, don't get upset by stupid people who laugh at people that are willing to learn. Don't leave the forums! We need your input.

This is a great example of how very weird the English language is. We write things to a messageboard and then ask you to 'listen' to what we are saying. Of course, you can't actually 'listen' to the printed word. You actually read it. So, when people say 'listen' they actually mean 'heed'.
.........it is a strange language, isn't it?

i get your words, feline , i know he is a joker man. Sorry if there's a confusion
Reply #43 Top
Look up in the sky...is it a bird?...is it a plane?...no, it's "Joker Man"......stronger than week-old socks....more powerful than 'Days Of Our Lives'....able to read all Dictionaries with a single bound....[while, as mild-mannered Paul Martin.......

Damn...gotta stop watching that horrible 'Smallville'...

Indeed.

English = easy. Just randomly insert "do", "have" or "am" in your sentences, stick some "ing"s and "ly"s to the end of randomly picked words and split up every word that's longer than eight characters and voilĂ  (that's French by the way), English it is.

Or in other words, don't give up. You'll be better than the majority of this lot in no time.

Here is a little secret for you, Carlitus! We all grew up taking true, false, multiple choice, and comuterized tests in high school. And at least my college found out (to their great remorse) that their students could no longer write (or spell) at all! Many of the foreign students actually did a better job than we did. So the college I went to, at least, mandated that before anyone else could graduate they had to take at least 15 credit hours of intensive writing courses. They could be in any subject, but they had to be intensive writing. Many people really suffered!

Now, my spelling is horrible...
but I only do that to torture Jafo....

since Jafo is actually Joker Man, then he needs a suitable challange. preferably someone with an evil plan!

so, perhaps i should start "helping" Carlitus with his spelling???

trhanks a llot, pheline for jelping me
hey, mr. Joker Man (Jafo), as you are now a helper, can u help-me please?
I have a comment on a wallpaper i uploaded, here https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?library=8&SkinID=3752 . I don't understand the message of the commentarist (i need to pay more for a good translator ). Also, the upper cases are very disturbing for me. Can you change to lower? And you can change all of the 90 animated icons (90???? yes!) for still icons. I will get headache anytime that i red the comments!
And don't worry anyone, i also laugh a lot when i read some messages sended to me in spanish/italian

OMG! Yes Jafo, or someone, please do something about that comment from steven smith! That sort of behavior is offensive to most everyone. >
Reply #49 Top
Jafo: JokerMan. I love that, but leave your socks out of it. Your wife's father is Dutch? Ah. That explains a lot and means that you are nicer than I thought.

Carlitus: I agree with Koasati. I've read that comment and it is not woth translating. The guy should be banned from this site and that comment should be removed.

Please can we lose that comment, usually I'm against censoring but that isn't an opinion, it is just boorish, coarse, childish and insulting behavior that doesn't belong here.
