I tried as well... no luck. Try writing to [email protected] . It might be because it lives in the System32 folder...

Is any of this info helpful? You'll need to change a few things to point to sound recorder of course, instead of control panel.

In the Link box, i typed : C:\Users\John\Desktop\SoundRecorder - Shortcut.lnk

(I create a shortcut on desktop)

In the %25systemroot%25\system32\sound recorder.exe /name Microsoft.System

(I tried with space and w/o space between "sound recorder.exe"

Not work at all. Pls teach...

Hi Zubaz,

Here it is:

C:\Windows\System32\soundrecorder.exe

Try "C:\Windows\Sysnative\sound recorder.exe"

Tried. That's what i got from the pop up:

Windows cannot find 'C:\Windows\Sysnative\sound recorder.exe'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again.
