Sins of a Solar Empire-Trinity Will not load, black screen & minidump error

Anyone have this issue? Know how to fix this?

Just downloaded SoaSE-Trinity from Stardock.com. Immediately it would not work, black screen and a minidump error. I have tried many option found on the internet and I cant get it to work. Emailed CS for support on this subject with no answer, just and automated email response pointing me to a forum ive already read.

I would really like to play this game, since I paid for it and all. Any help would be appreciated.

It is an issue with the installer, and it affects both Sins Trinity and Gal Civ I Ultimate Edition on Steam...devs should be back to work on Monday and probably weren't aware of the issue cause of the Holiday...

Checking on this now.  Were you using Stardock Central or just the direct download link?

Yeah I'm having the exaqct same issue.  I downloaded it from the link and using the stardock installer.  Same problem.  Same responses from CS as well.  Automated response and links to non helpful ideas, then put on ignore. 

I paid with Paypal and have now entered a dispute to get my $ back.

This is unacceptable, I am experiencing the same issue on startup. Played the game before on this rig, and it ran great, even before I upgraded my machine.

The worst part is that they have not even addressed the problem yet. They have an obligation to their customers, and it's not being met.

totally agree they are ignoring us totally.  Refused a refund request forcing me to take it to PayPal claim.  I don't understand what is happening that they think it's ok to ignore us.

Just brought SINS Trinity thru Stardock Central and I am having the same problem. Any fix?

I'd try what Brad posted for Fallen Enchantress. Should work just as well for Sins: Trinity if it's not downloading correctly:

I'd also recommend turning off any anti-virus during download/install, as it may lock the file.

I tried everything form above ^^^ to reinstalling, re-downloading (thru stardock), windowed mode, texture change, disabling intro movies, to no avail.  Haven't heard back from support yet. I can't figure it out.
