Strange WinXP behavior all of a sudden...

Hi!

First, let me say this site is so terrif! I have been having
problems with ghost windows. I open a program, use it, and open its associated functions (load a file) and when I am done and close and this visual construct representing the file box is still visible. I don't think it is Windowblinds cause I have just started having this happen. I don't know if I changed something or what. Then I open some programs and minimize them and when I maximize, the box shows up but nothing is in it.

Any help would be really appreciated. This is driving me to distraction.

Are you using WindowFX? I seem to remember some behavior like that. Haven't used it in a while, though.

if you are talking about a shadow artifcat left behind from a window, then yes, I get the same problem with WindowsFX on my laptop (which has the world's worst ati video drivers)

This has been worked on for WindowFX 2.0. Not sure if registered users of 1.2 get a free upgrade, but you might. Currently due out August, although it does tend to slide and depends a bit on when NVIDIA gets it's act together driver-wise.
