first of all: this text is copied and pasted from my hd, because i am sick of hearing this kind of questions over and over again and the answer will be the same anyways.

the ultimate answer for your problems is: read the manual!!! it is on your hd or if you are not able to find it, look here: http://lsdocs.shellfront.org/

if you use the LiteStep Installer by Omar, please be aware that this Distribution of LS uses a theme format called OTS. so the themes need to be compatible with that format. this is usually stated in the themes decription (most newer themes are compatible). running older themes needs tweaking from your side. i would recommend to use only OTS themes until you are more familiar with LS. also always read the the readme that comes with the theme (VERY IMPORTANT !!!).

a place where it is easy way to see if a theme is compatible is the themes section at http://www.LiteStep.com/ just look at the little button on the bottom right of the preview image.

Poor old moshi, like a lot of old LS Users, has answered this one....oooh....once or twice before....

LiteSTEP reqires you to do a bit of reading...to fully understand what it is that you are doing, and what it wants you to do.

I remember when I started with LS and had the same troubles....but having been to school some 30 years before, I vaguely remembered that 'reading' can help with 'understanding'....I tried it, and it WORKED!....

Because of the various different 'methods' of setting up LS, you need to be clear as to which 'method' you are using, and post more info about what is and isn't the problem...
