Help, if anyone can

WindowsXP. I seemed to have lost the shadows behind my text in windows explorer (in the right frame)and on the desktop. When I reboot, while everything is loading, I can see the shadows under the icon text, for a second, then the text becomes flat. These shadows make everything so much easier to read. Preciate any help

Hmmm. Don't use XP, but...Do you have WFx loading also? Is text shadow strictly an XP thing?

I do have WFX loading. Thought maybe that was it, tried uninstalling WFX, just to see if the text shadow would be there, but no go. I don't know if the text shadow is an XP thing or not.

I think you need to have wallpaper applied in order to get the shadows behind desktop icon text in XP.
