you should have a look at the screenshots at customize.org. some of these guys are tweaking the classic look to perfection. StyleXP get´s dissed as much as WindowBlinds in the last time (by the users, the admins are a different story)

not for me.. i'd prefer anything else. i do wish the xp look was available that thin though..

What do you mean as "thin" migellito?
You do know that you can specify the size of the titlebar in your preferences and XP will adapt to that size, right? Only works with XP native styles though, not with WB.

Classic, I like the classic look of Windows 98, but not XP... XP I like blue.

I think it is fine. allot of poeple seem to stick to it. (at least until I show them windowblinds)

I think it is cool but you got to be able to change to something else different sometimes. now i am using 200ix by David70. it is cool to have choices.

The classic look is way too boring for me.

YMMV.

Boring, but the default styles are hideous, so I switched those off and set up my good old ultra dark colour scheme.

paxx.. yep i never run the 3 included xp ones though.. but thanks

I dislike the Windows Classic style for Windows XP, but when I'm on Linux, it's one of my favorite.

I just can't get used to the XP look. I use Classic. It would be better if IP could set icons on the start menu but that seems to be a problem with MS. I bought the Pixtudio suites and set accounts for their use up and occasionaly use them however the fonts are too small and not in boldface. Mercury did a WB skin back when? (WK2 Ext) that I use with WB set for Classic. Old age strikes back!

iiiiilllllll original windows 98????

oh my gawd!!! that was like the most boring interface ever!! The thing is if your use to it or do not know if there are any choices then you say "fine".

I hope more people find out about changing they interfaces.

BTW
I am trying to come up with a presentation on windowblinds using flash and shockwave so they get the point on my website. (when ever I get it working) I love this stuff!!

Ok you will probably like the classic look if your computer has a processor that goes at Grandma speed or if you have very little ram and are running destopX etc. But I just got new comp 1.1Gig so WindowsBlinds is a MUST!!! no more classic look for me thats a garanty.

I ran classic for a few days, until I got comfortable with XP. Won't go back. Computer hard ware is so cheap its the time to upgrade whatever you need. I only wish that I could get DSL.

Between LiteSTEP and Windowblinds, I don't get to see much of the Exploder GUI at all....can't say I miss it, either....

Yes, me too!!

I like the classic look too after 4 years (!) using WB every day at home and work but since XP most skins are to fat and the start menu is to big. Now I am using the classic XP skin and sometimes a few small StyleXP skins.

oh BTW... has nothing todo wih the speed of my brandnew laptop. I like the classic look and disable all fading and animations setting too, except the shadowing for the menus.

This is my last year of OD-subscriber, I think

Well one thing I agree that the start button is too big. Whenever I have to format my comp the first thing after i load windows is install windowsblinds so Im preatty much hooked on it.
