Windows XP Startup / Shutdown / Welcome screen images

Is there any way of altering these? I'm probably being really dense and they are just lying around waiting for that alteration, but a few pointers would be very welcome. And I'm sure you'd agree that "When come back, bring pie" is far more informative than "Windows XP is shutting down".
(that and, everyone knows XP should be called NT 5.1 - even it's own command prompt admits that)

Really? Does the newest version of Logon Studio now can change the Startup and the Shutdown screen too?
