'Not connected to the Internet' ??

Anyone help me please ... when trying to install a new skin (Winstyles) a box keeps popping up and telling me that I am not connected to the Internet. I have a cable modem .... and a permanent Internet connection. I cannot apply any new skins - this error message appears as soon as I go to the Web site and attempt to install a new skin. It seems to download OK - but then the box pops up again. It's driving me nuts ....

Richard, What skin / theme did you download and install?

Richard, I know this makes little sense, but this helped me with that same problem. Go to View>Settings and click Use LAN to connect to the Internet. If you already have that option checked, I don't know what will work. Good luck.

When I start skinbrowser, and am connected to the internet already, skinbrowser comes up with the annpuncement: WINSTYLES, you are not connected to the internet.....This happened when I updated to 0,98 SB..Didn't have that message before. What I do is click on themes and skins, then click randomly on something...After that I can refresh the site update data....Looks like similar prob as Richard...Anyway, the connection is always there, but SB halts with that warning

Lecrayon, in your settings, do you have "Using LAN to connect to the internet" checked? When I checked that on my machine, I never got that error again.

Thanks to all for replies. I have checked that a LAN is the mode of Internet connection - everything else works OK - so my Internet connection is fine. It is just Winstyles. If I try to download a new Suite - I am told that I do not have an Internet connection and it will not apply it. I go to Winstyles - then Add/Remove - then Download Skins and Themes - I am taken to the WinCustomise Site where I select a Theme. As soon as I click on it - up pops the box that tells me the Suite content of the theme and asks me if I wish to apply it. As soon as I hit the 'Yes' button - up comes the 'You are not connected to the Internet' and I cannot apply the theme - no matter what I do. It is as if my version of Winstyles (latest version 1.2) does not recognise my cable/broadband/LAN Internet connection ?? Thanks again for all comments.
