Install of Application Updates

Should i be uninstalling before intalling updates to apps

Hi

I have just updated my software to the newest beta for Start8 and the release version of Fences2.  Now I am seeing (images) in Stardock central installed programs list multiple entries.  This is also occurring in my start/add/remove programs list. 

Are the installers for updates and apps not removing previous version prior to installing newer versions?  Should I be manually uninstalling these apps before updating?

After install and reboot of system, Stardock Central still shows Fences 2 updates available? Can I safely remove these apps now that final/newer versions are installed?

Hi.  We're aware of teh issues in SDC (beta).  Fences should be resolved.

The applications should prompt for re-install/uninstall/etc. as needed.
