I'm so impressed...

I have always been a tinkerer with my computers, sometimes with disaterous results. I could never leave well enough alone. So when I bought my new laptop I searched for something that would give me the customization I wanted at a price I could aford.

I know, I know... I'm sounding like a commercial here. But what a difference WindowBlinds made on my laptop. It makes it soooo much cooler and easier to see.

One bad thing: There are so many cool skins / logons / icons / themes etc. that I keep changing my mind every 7 minutes and resconfiguring the whole damn thing! When am I supposed to get my work done?

You folks rock, and you can expect more of my business in the future.

i feel the same way. stardock should make something that lets you have skinjockeys who change the skin on your computer for you each day!

...I used to dread looking at my desktop... The same ol grey boring look... With WindowBlinds, I can look at my screen and say this is the way I wanted it the whole time.

I don't know what I would do without WindowBlinds now.

This thread sure sounds like an infomercial.

Funny thing, I've switched back to the "Classic" style of Windows XP a few weeks ago and I still haven't grown tired of it. I sure enjoy the regained speed.
No worry though, I'm sure my taste for fancy good looking windows will come back.

In my line of work I can use my Mac or XP notebooks, since I have found WB's, I find I am not using my Mac that much anymore. I LOVE WB's and ALL the skinners. It makes it so much fun to change the look of my desktop.

It's not only the fun of using or skinning LS, WB, HVD, DX or OB (too name a few). It is also the fun of meeting all these people involved. You make or use a skin, theme, plugin or some other software and meet all these great people willing to help you out. Not only here, but also on places like VelocityArt, LotsOfSkins and DeskMod. And there are dozens of other places. There are soo many people involved. The longer I am doing it, the more convinced I am that this aspect is very important to me.

I think what he meant was something that used the Internet to find out what someone else was looking. Whatever Skin Treetog or someone chose would become our skin automatically even if it had to grab it.

I'm impressed by y'alls artistic talents. I don't think I could come close to some of the talent displayed by most of the creators of the different skins....
