Icons in Win2K...yes im a newb

Hey there, just joined. Can someone tell me if it's possible to get the appearance transparancy for icons in Windows 2000 Pro like it is in WinXP?? ( for more detail, where the icons have that little background color around the text and never really mathes the desktop?>
