B3ST: I took a look at your screenshot and am not sure about wich application you skinned. Is it a windowblinds skin?

Well, another thing, I could note that it was 'very similar' to an existent skin called Lunar Base.

For you to post this work here, or at any other skin site, you must have the original author“s permission before doing that.

After getting the written permission, you must zip the file and upload the zip file and screenshot (JPG file) in the upload section, just following the steps.

Btw, the Lunar Base skin, was originaly done by me

With a little Lunar Base for Litestep thrown in for good measure

That's a lot more than 'very similar'... it's a rip...

B3st - "designing" a skin means you start with a blank page and put your ideas into reality. It's all your own work, your own graphics and your own ideas. Taking the graphics from an existing skin is not designing a skin, it's called 'porting' if it's done with the full permission and approval of the original artist and the artwork is credited to the original artist. It's called 'ripping' or theft if it's done without getting permission and giving credit.

Listen to DavidK...
Of course, IF you only do this for your own private use, and have no intentions of ever uploading it anywhere on the net, [or publishing it anywhere else, for that matter], then it's entirely OK.....PROVIDED it stays 'private'.....

Sorry treetog, it is a rip of lunar base with extra stuff. I like your skin but I still want the option of having a start button, and jafo is correct it is just for personal use, is that ok treetog? Well back to my original question could anybody help me make it please? the screenshot which I showed you is not actualy a screenshot just a jpg I made of what I wanted my skin to be like.

P.S. possibly treetog could make it and name it Lunar Base II?

O.K. treetog I have just found the original lunar base by you and I like it better than my rip! but like I said above I like the idea of the orginal start menu and having icons on the desktop is this possible ith your skin?

No offence intended, but you're not really making a lot of sense here.

Icons on the desktop? If you're not seeing any on yours, then you probably have active desktop enabled and it's set to hide the icons.
As for the original start menu, I assume you're using XP? If so, then I believe there's an option to go back to the classic style 98/2K start menu (Although I'd ask why you'd want to?).

Sorry about not making any sense. I am running 98. By Icons on the desktop I meant to still have shortcuts e.g. My Computer, My Documents, Internet Explorer etc. (from the screenshots I have seen it does not look like lunar base has them)nd for the original start menu I meant the start menu I have now not the double one from windowsblinds (also from the screenshots I have seen all thestart menus seem to be twice as thick as the one I have got now!)

Oh and Mrs Hippy to your last question (Although I'd ask why you'd want to?) I prefer 98se to xp, me, 2k etc I have tried them all and think it is the best, well actually I prefer 95 but it will not run on my latest sytem so 98se is the next best (in my opinion anyway)

Well, you don't have to worry about the start menu. Even with WindowBlinds, you're stuck with the classic one on 98. As for the desktop icons, WindowBlinds will not hide them on you. If you don't see them in a screenshot, it is only because the author chose to hide them when the screenshot was made. They will not disappear if you apply a WindowBlinds skin.

Oh, and I've been waiting for a chance to use this icon: Windows 98

B3ST, if you want an XP-style start menu, ObjectBar is excellent at simulating the fucntion and look of it, and I'd highly reccomend it.

Although 98 better than 2K??
