Michael Clarke Duncan, the hulking, prolific character actor whose dozens of films included an Oscar-nominated performance as a death row inmate in "The Green Mile" and such other box office hits as "Armageddon," "Planet of the Apes" and "Kung Fu Panda," is dead at age 54.

This one has hit me some as I really liked Michael Clarke Duncan a lot.  I loved his role in the 'Finder' TV series, among others, and thought/think of him as one of my favourite actors.

RIP Michael, you will be sorely missed indeed. :'(

RIP! He was a great actor and it’s a shame that he’s gone at such a young age.

Same here.

Went really sad when Hank posted the news about it on IRC last night. :(

I really enjoyed his performance in The Green Mile. He made that movie!

I will never understand why such good people are taken off this planet so young. That sucks . Will miss your talent and that sparkle for life you carried on your face, always smiling, what a giant personality,so sad.

Sad indeed. When I saw this the heart went out of me. The consensus among those who acted with and knew him was that he was a big, sweet, kind, love of a man.

Rest In Peace, sir.

Wow that one caught me by surprise. He looked so young and healthy. My sympathies to his family. He worshipped his mom and was an Incredible actor.

RIP Mr. Duncan. v_v
