Outlook 2002 Help: Screenshots

Very large annoyance here hopefully someone can shed some insight on a possible solution. Using Outlook 2002 (XP) with Windows XP, when creating a new mail message and clicking on the address book button next to TO: this is what appears.

When you have a contact listed with two email addresses (such as [email protected] and [email protected]) the contact appears twice inside the address book. The problem occurs because the only field visible is Name which as you can see you can't tell which email address is for which contact entry.

The fields are movable (see image) but it reverts back when you close and open a new message. Super Annoying!!

Any help would be much appreciated.

What's the problem? The two email addresses are different so it should display them seperately. You have to maintain your address book and put the emails in a single address entry and set one as the default.

It looks to me like your OE is working normally.

No... one is set too default. The problem is if you have one contact with two emails listed. Instead of showing just one contact and allowing you to choose the other emails it shows two.

The problem is they are both the same name... and when someone has over 5 different addresses (home, work, work2, sms, mobile hotmail, etc).

ahhh... well, it's probably a question for the Microsoft guys then. Have you tried doing a search of the knowledge base at MS's website? Or the help button on OE might explain it too.
