I deduced that the statistics of authors are including updates, am I right? And if so, wouldn't it be fair to change that to the number of actual skincreations?

What do you mean? What statistics number are you talking about? If you are talking about the number next to the skinners' name in the "Top Author" box on the right, these figures do not represent the number of skins/updates a skinner has, but 10% of number of downloads a skinner got in one day (yesterday).
For example:
1. treetog [981]
2. adni18 [902]
3. APB [354]
means that they respectively got 9810, 9020 and 3540 downloads yesterday for all their skins.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, then I totally misunderstood that box. I thought it had to do with creations...thank you for explaining that paxx...I did a search on skins in the WC-browser and that had startled me...because it didnt match up...
