I have got object desktop back in march of this year. If this is part of the odnt subscription, then i should be able to use this skin browser at no cost as part of the subscription i posess until march 2003. Is this true? If not then why?

Subscription to wincustomize.com is not part of ODN.

RcknMike, here's how I would explain the situation from my understanding. ODN is for Stardock products while SkinBrowser is a separate tool that complements WinCustomize. They serve different purposes and this is why SB isn't included in ODN. Simply put, SB helps finance WC and make sure it stays a community oriented site

However, since you've paid for an ODNT subscription you do have unlimited access to the skin library.

GreenReaper... does that mean by being a subscriber to ODNT (like me ) that you are entitled to those "special skins" that come with the subscription to wincustomize?

well i appreciate the answers, thank you. So now how is it possible for me to get the skinbrowser with a money order. Sorry but this person does not have credit cards or checking account.

It's not updated yet to show the WC subscription - just write in what the money order ($19.95) is for and what email address the account is (and your name) and that should be OK, I think.

As I see it the real purpose of the supscription is to keep this site up and running, as you know it takes money to run this site, I have personally seen many of my free sites such as sportstalk.com close down, excite went bankrupt and many others have gone down because people were not willing to help support them. Interestingly enough Sportstalk is back under a different name, Bootlegsports.com and you know what, in order to access it, you have to pay $3.50 per month, which of course I did. Personally will purchase this subscription the moment I get back from my vacation, and I urge all of you too as well, unless of course you want to see this site fold like others. I for one, use this site, and will support it fully. At least that is one man's opinion.

QUESTION. I have an ODNT subscription, what does "unlimited access" to skin library mean? What do I see that non-ODNT people do not see?

I usually use OD and WC at work, where the OD Component Manager will not work through my corporation's firewall, and so I doubt the SkinBrowser will either. I am trying to gauge what I get at WC by default (non-WC subscriber/non-ODNT), what extra I get as an ODNT subscriber, and what I would additionally get as a WC subscriber besides SkinBrowser.

Rael, If you log out of Wincustomize you will see a Wincustomize Subscriptions box under the Featured skins box. The More info option explains the different levels available.

or not to wincustomize....that's totally up to the people that use WC by OD.
Let's just see a subscription to WC with some free gadgets as a subscription to a soccer club or chessclub or basketballclub...When nobody submits to the club the club will cease to exist...Was it to be a basketballclub you'd be eventually at home alone with a basketball, that is your OD...and you play around with skinstudio for your own brilliant skin or you dunk for that matter....
