unable to start OE and other apps

hi,
jesterday I dwnloaded the test version of WB. Then installed "GalCiv" to have a look at it. Then installed SETI glass for the same purpose. But then my system XP he mixed up the 2 skins and I was unable to open OE and Task Manager. They were hanging. Had to reboot and then had win classic skin back on.
I intended to buy the full version of WB but as long as my system gets mixed up I wont do so,,,, Is there anybody who can help ? Greetings from Switzerland

Could it be that Galactic Civ has the XP taskbar and start menu and SETI glass doesn't? (lazy skinner never finished it) What happened that made you say it mixed up the two skins?
I can't imagine why it would hang Outlook Express and the Task Manager though... that's strange.

Well, I don't know if this is your problem (it is mine). If you have one version of windowblinds, and you get an upgrade or a different version, you have to make very, very sure to unload the first version. Else they combine some things and conflict. If this is the case, unload and uninstall the one version before you apply the next (I have been fighting this one out all day here). Good luck

Oh... and another thing that really caused problem was that I had web blinds installed. Then Unloaded windowblinds. Then when I tried to start IE, it hung big time. I figured it relied on my windowblind skin which was inaccessable.

I dont think that an upgrade has caused the prob. By mixing up the 2 skins I mean that, if I do not unload Galactic Civ and install SETI Glass over it (my mistake..) then sometimes the skin of Gal.Civ is kind of shining trough.
I ll try to fix it later on and let you know what happened.
I really like all this different skins but if they cause troubles then it s useless to spend money on them.. > have a nice day thomi from switzerland
