Couple of days ago i stumbled across this site, now i am a member as well as a proud owner of all the software you need for these skins etc. Cmon then how do you create these files?? coz i wanna make my own one now, ive downloaded every single skin there is available without purchasing! Sputnik_Bk is the best so far, if anyone has got ne new skins etc, email me @ [email protected], im looking at the imac interfaces, if you can use them on windows xp then great, i want the style that allows you to have huge icons that go across the start bar, like the imac, but you do not have a start button, ne ways some one give us a buzz if you know where to get such a skin, cheers and keep it up peeps

There are a lot of different skin formats. Each skinnable app has its own format. So we can't give you a simple answer. To learn more about how to skin for a given app go to the website of the producer. Often you'll find more information there.

Gav-roberts2k1, I think what you are looking for is something like the New_iMac theme by Ken5 for DesktopX

You can use SkinStudio to make some of the skins, but it really depends on what type of skin you want to make what you will need to make it with.

I have to afree with roberts. I recently started with this site, and my jaw still has to close!!! I will be trying my best to get as much of the software and start contributing to the mayham in this site. (Don't worry, I don't bite... much) Maybe one skin or two will prove my point .

Yes I agree that this site is very welcome to those who here of it. Now that there has been a design change I think it very well could be the best skin site around. If you want to change your desktop and have a pretty wide selection than here is the site. If wincustomize keeps up the good work along with Stardock (and as well as other skin sites and programs like Talisman and NeXTStart) then by 2004 this will be a major market for designs, advertisement, artists, educationers, kids, musuems, libraries, offices, and the list continues.

AS you can see I have major plans for this progam. And I believe once the 3rd generation of products come out it will be unstoppable. (as long as the products are good; i.e. no crap!!! )
