Can Mozilla come back?

Can Mozilla come back?

Mozilla RC2 is out and it's pretty darn impressive. It's really got the goods:

1) Fully skinnable (especially if you use WindowBlinds with it)
2) Can block pop up ads
3) Fast
4) Clean UI.

So can it make a dent or is it too late? What do you think?

It's the icon to show that you're a WC supporter, and that the post was made using the Skinbrowser.

that looks awkward there, hmm and maybe a different supporter style icon might look better?

zkreso, the full installer for IE 5.5 sp2 is about 8mb, and considering a big portion of IE is in the NT core, I don't find 10mb unreasonable for a standalone browser.

How many NT/IE patches would you like to install this week?

OK I'm using MoZilla right now... and personally, I think it rocks. Adds a little variation to life now that I've been using IE for ages. I can't wait until I get some more time so that I can create a couple of skins for it too

zkreso: if you could create some skins for mozilla then that would rock!

this thread has prompted me to download and look at mozilla.

my initial problem is that i dont know the hotkeys to do what i want.

the info i am looking for doesnt seem to be in the on line help. off to their web page next me thinks.

from what i found it could do with some more newbee friendly packaging if they are aiming at a wider audience.

some people panic when the download page offers then a 50meg tar ball of source code as one of the main options

/me is still fighting the urge to download this

this may be a silly question, but where do i find the general usage info on mozilla? specifically i want hot keys for moving between tabs.

the faq for end users says it doesnt contain a users guide.

/me misses vim like help files

Hotkeys are there:

Documentation in general is really not ready :o)

Regarding installation, there's one important thing to know: uninstall Netscape 6 before you do anything, because it uses the same profile and then everything stops working

Oh, there's like a problem with the textarea here, I don't see what I'm typing

outstanding! thanks, that is just what i had been looking for, but totaly failed to find

Mozilla has documentation? Wow! Hmm, perhaps someone will make a decent skin for it. Rather complicated though. Unzip the .jar files in the chrome folder (or wherever they get stuck these days) to see how things work.
