Maelstrom Mod for Original SOASE R8 Problem!

when i launch the game everything goes smoothly at first, but upon reaching the main menu im struck with this sight:the music plays and the background moves but no buttons or options appear......any replies are appreciated.

P.S. having problems with image but all u need to know is there are no buttons!
