Argggh. I puchased it. Got one email from BMT Micro with an order number. But no activation key!!!!!!!

I tried useing the order number as the activation key but it didn't work. Valhalla Did you get more than one email? Where'd you get the activation key?

It looks great. One thing, when the OB is available, will those of us who buy it now get it free? Small extra charge? Or is it wiser to wait for OB to come out?

That's my only holdup at this point.

Again, great work.

This is definitely one of the better skins out there, but I must admit to having been a little disapointed: after having seen the preview screenies, I was hoping that the windowblinds skin would look somewhat like the coolplayer skin (swirvy and with a touch of black)... Right now, it's nice, but a little too "square" for my taste. Do you think you might be releasing another version of a windowblinds skin (one which would look more like the rest of the suite?)? Don't get me wrong though: I am loving it (my money was well spent), but I think that I might go back to using the Logika skin after the novelty of this one wears off...

BTW< I love looking the fact that it now matches the Wincustomize web site

P.S.: why are there no sounds included in this one (you guys usually provide close/max/min sounds...)? And no DesktopX theme... ouch!

errr Im new to this whole scene. I have Stardock's Object Desk Top installed. I paid for and downloaded Universal Metal. How do I get this thing intalled? Help!

Tracert, each app has its own skin. The file that ends in *.WBA is the WindowBlinds skin. Double click the file and it'll install the the skin. Then when you go to your Windows Display properties, under the skin tab, select UniverseMetal.

The *.WMZ files are for Windows Media Player. Double click the appropriate one (either for WMP 7 or WMP 8) to install it.

The *.WSZ file is the Winamp skin. Double-click it and it'll install.

The Universe_NS.zip file is for skinning WinStep (which is a separate product by another company other than StarDock/Object Desktop).

The *.IPZ file is for ICQ. I don't use it so I don't know how to install it.

The *.TTF files are the fonts. You can install them from the Fonts applet in your Windows Control Panel.

I just purchased and DL'd this suite. All I can say is this is the best skin suite ever created! Nothing compares to this. This will be the new standard upon which all skinners strive for, but alas, never reach. I am in awe.

My hat is off to Treetog and Alexandrie.

I'll be waiting for that HVD theme!

Treetog sent me the WinAMP skin some time ago, and I commented here then that it was possibly the best WA skin ever...whetting people's apetite even then.
Now that it's publicly released....was I right, or was I right?...

BTW....'whetting' is correct...it's not 'wetting'... Spell checker

Just out of curiosity, is the Universe Metal suite one of the Premium Skin Suites included with the Wincustomize subscription?

Thanks Chris. I guess I'll opt for the WC subscription for now. Since I only run WB & WMP, the rest of the skins in the suite aren't incentive enough for me to purchase just yet.
