Mozilla 1.0 RC is nice

Been playing around with Mozilla 1.0 RC 1. It's actually a very nice browser. Better than IE6 in many ways. Anyone else tried it yet?

Mozilla has been my default browser for aeons now. Just wish they'd clean up the resource usage a bit.

'Course it's better than IE. Even Babya System is better than IE.

/me is biased

Do yahoo card games work with it?

I will get a boot to the head from my wife if it doesn't.

Yahoo card games tend to not play well with some browsers I have tried.

mozilla has come a long way from the beginning. it is definitely superior to IE in many ways. i'm toying with the idea of making it my default browser too. its email capabilities are wonderful as well.

overall, its a very powerful browser that i would recommend to just about everyone.

......it supports BSML you know....

I'm an Opera fan right now but will definitely check it out.

I also agree that Mozilla is a great browser and am also considering using it as the default browser, but I don't like the icon it uses on Windows. What about the icon with the face of that Godzilla-like thingy?

I downloaded it last night........maybe one of you gurus can tell me why I'm unable to edit preferences. None of the catergories will open for me.

Hum... Using it now.
It's ok. So far, I think it's comparable to IE. I don't think it's better or worse.
Of course I really like its full extraordinary PNG support. At last... Unfortunately very few sites use transparent PNGs yet (because no other browser supports it)...
And we'll see if it freezes and crashes like IE tends to do. I'll use it for a couple of days to make up my mind.

Vema, oh yes, no problem there. It's very stable. More than IE I think, so far...

More stable, than IE?..........not here. Locks up for the stranges reasons. IE6 hasn't given me any troubles, but Mozilla will hang after a download..........
Mozilla does have some interesting features.
btw.....as if anyone cares, I fixed the preferences problem.

This 1.0 RC 1 release has a nasty bug when it can't find an url sometimes. Totally locks up then. 0.9.9 didn't have that, so I'm sure they'll fix it.

Been using it for 4 days now and it hasn't crashed once on my system. I'll give it a few more days. IE crashes regularely for me, and what pisses me off is that IE is your shell so when IE crashes your taskbar and everything gets reloaded anew. I hate that. (And Jafo, no I'm not switching shell, hehehe)
Anyway, so far Mozilla is good news, I'll continue to put it to the test.

I like it too.
For me the best feature is the Tab Browsing. That's awesome. I like how you can save your favourite tabs and bring them all up at once.

Its pretty nice. I just wish the tab browser was more functional like NetCaptor is. For instance, when I key in a URL directly I don't want the page to be displayed in the current tab, I want it in a new tab. I couldn't find a way to do that in Mozilla unless I overlooked it.

Edit > Preferences > Navigator > Tabbed Browsing > Open tabs instead of windows for > Control+Enter in the Location Bar

Okay, so it's not perfect. I always launch urls via Ctrl-Shift-L.
